Devotional Song Share & Eisteddfod

I invite you to join me outside at my home in Swannanoa for a Devotional Song Share & Eisteddfod on Saturday 10/5 from 2-4pm

"Eisteddfod" (eh-steth-fod) is a Welsh word meaning "to sit." The Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids defines Eisteddfod as "A Bardic festival of the arts, from the Welsh, meaning ‘a session or assembly.’"

This will be an opportunity to sing together in community and I am opening the invitation to include devotional songs as well as poems, stories, dance, art and any kind of devotional and creative endeavors.

This offering can be an experience of deep feeling, creativity and connection to the voice as well as an opportunity to cultivate a sense of joy, devotion and gratitude. Our circle will draw inspiration from Druid tradition and ritual.

You are invited to bring a song/bhajan of praise, gratitude, joy, growth/love from any culture or practice or a poem, prayer, story, piece of art or a spontaneous act of creativity to share with the group.

It may also be nice to have a musical instrument (drum/rattle/guitar, etc.). Medicine songs and rainbow songs are also welcomed! Or you can simply come to listen and receive.

This event is offered on a ‘pay what you can’ basis. If you can contribute your presence, that is enough. If you are in a place of abundance and can contribute between $5-$25, that will help with sustaining these events.
